We are family: Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz stepped out with son Egypt in New York on Wednesday
Alicia Keys isn't letting parenthood take the edge off her fashion sense. The 31-year-old singer and her husband Swizz Beatz stepped out with their son Egypt on Friday in New York City looking casual but cool.
Keys, who will join Oprah in hosting the annual Black Ball on November 1, donned Khaki trousers and a dark green vest top with a co-ordinating cap as she stood with her loved ones in the West Village area.
She brightened up her outfit with and orange bra and trainers as well as a lively hue of lipstick.
She was also clinging onto a bottle of healthy green juice.

Riding high: Their little boy Egypt stayed on his father's shoulders while his mother clutched on to a bottle of healthy green juice
Swizz Beatz – whose real name is Kasseem Dean – teamed his beige bottoms with a two-toned T-shirt and painted splattered white trainers, as his little boy sat on his shoulders.
The two-year-old covered up his curled hair with a printed hooded top and kept a pacifier in his mouth as he clung on to his father’s cap.
The lyricist also has three other children, sons Prince Nasirm, Kasseem David Dean Jr and daughter Nicole, from previous relationships.
On the bright side: The singer can look forward to having Beyonce Knowles perform at her charity even on November 1
The family have plenty of reason to be feeling in bright spirits as it has just been announced that Beyonce Knowles and Carole King will perform at the fundraising gala for her charity.
The superstars will attend the Keep a Child Alive event on November 1 at the Big Apple’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
The night will honour Winfrey and Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo for their philanthropic efforts.

Keys, Kidjo and rock group Alabama Shakes will also perform while Whoopi Goldberg will be the night's host.
In a statement Keys said King has ‘blazed the trail for women in the music industry,’ adding that ‘women will be rocking the house this year.’
The organisation – which was launched by Alicia in 2003 - assists people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
