But, as the 42-year-old singer arrived for another round of auditions for American Idol earlier today, she accidentally gave onlookers a glimpse of her thigh high boots.
The star's dress hitched up as she left her large black SUV, revealing the high heeled Louboutin boots in black suede.
However, she was perhaps glad of the extra material, as when the dress fell back around her ankles, as she needed a black cardigan to wrap up against the breezy LA weather.
