Ten-year-old Jane, who nursed her rotting private parts at Kiboga Government Hospital after she was allegedly defiled by her biological father early January, has vowed she will never forgive her father.
Jane’s ordeal (not real name) was brought to the attention of Kiboga hospital after the police arrested her father in January. She had been experiencing an uncontrolled flow of puss from her private parts.
In February when Saturday Monitor visited the victim at her mother’s home in Kiboga Town Council, Jane narrated her painful experience, saying although she no longer experiences pain, she is still psychologically tortured.
“I suffered very much and lost my dignity, and for that I can never forgive him,” Jane said.

Reports indicate that Jane’s father allegedly came home drunk at the time he defiled his daughter, and threatened to kill her if she dared to tell anybody what had happened.
The young girl says she later managed to escape from her father and walk to Kiboga Town at her mother’s house for refuge. The two parents had earlier been through a divorce. It was then that her mother reported to police.
He appeared before Kiboga Chief Magistrate Jesse Ruijjema Byaruhanga and was charged with aggravated defilement, without being allowed to enter any plea since the lower court lacked jurisdiction over the matter.
He was remanded to Kiboga prison until March 23. Court later extended his remand to six months to allow more investigations.
