A Good Day to Die Hard, which will be released on Valentine's Day next year, is set in Russia and reunites the hard-nosed detective with his estranged son.

The massive production is rumoured to have a budget of more than $100,000,000.

The film is being directed by John Moore, a native of Dundalk, Ireland, whose previous credits include Behind Enemy Lines and Max Payne.
Producer Tom Rothman told MTV: 'It’s all set in Russia. Well there’s bookend scenes in New York, but it’s John McClane, goes to Russia and I think the technical term... is f***s everything up.

'And the fun part about it is there’s a great moment where he says "It’s good a day as any to die".'
Bruce's onscreen son Jack will be played by Jai Courtney, and the paternal storyline makes the film much more emotion driven than previous outings.
Rothman said: 'He thinks his kid is a screw-up but, in fact, it’s the opposite.

'The kid is more like the father than the father thinks. So it’s very, like all the best of the classic 'Die Hards,' very emotionally driven and very kick-ass.'

It's star who is a father-of-four may be approaching his 60th birthday but that hasn't slowed him down as he continues to film more and more movies.
