Although Wickmayer went on the attack, she made far too many mistakes to make much of an impression.
Radwańska made the most of Wickmayer’s sloppiness.
At 4-3 in she took the breakpoint and it was plain sailing for the rest of the first set.
Radwańska took a 1-3 advantage in the second set.
However Wickmayer pulled back to 3-3.
Despite this recovery, it was not to be Wickmayer’s day.
The Fleming eventually lost the set 6-4 and it was game, set and match to Radwańska.
