The 42-year-old actress starred in her most sexual role this year in the movie Horrible Bosses where she played the flirtatious dentist with the filthy mouth.
But Jennifer concedes that she hasn't always been the seductive leading lady.
'The least sexy character [I've played] was Jeannie Bueller on the TV version of Ferris Bueller's Day Off,' Jennifer said.
But for her own choice of the sexiest woman of all time, Jennifer went old school and couldn't pick between two women.
'It's a tie between Brigitte Bardot and Gloria Steinem,' Jennifer told the magazine. 'But if I had to choose one, I'd say Gloria because, well, she's the full package. That's sexy.'
Also rounding up the top five were Raquel Welch, Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears and Madonna.
Ursula Andress came in at number six with Bettie Page, Pamela Anderson and Jane Fonda taking the next few spots.
The magazine explained why they think the star was voted the top of the list.
'Funny is sexy, and Jennifer Aniston is funny,' the publication stated. 'Her down-to-earth persona makes her seem attainable and anyone who's seen her in 'Office Space' has to admit she makes even pieces of flair look good.'
'She rarely plays the airhead, and she seldom overplays a role; she's funny in a quiet, refreshingly human way.'
Jennifer has one of the best bodies in Hollywood through regular work out sessions and a reported fanatical approach to her diet.
But she has not been afraid of showing it off and has been pictured in Mexico in her bikini showing off her washboard abs on several occasions.
Jennifer also stripped down to nothing but a tie and a smile for a GQ spread in 2008 and her nude shoot for Smart Water in 2007.
In fairness, Jennifer has been looking sexier since she started dating boyfriend Justin Theroux.
The unlucky-in-love star seems to have finally found 'the one' and has had a glow about her over the past few months.
Her choice of outfits also seem to have become more sultry as she becomes more confident with showing some skin at her red carpet events.
Since her much-publicised break up with Brad Pitt in 2005, Jennifer has dated John Meyer, Vince Vaughan, Paul Schulfor and Bradley Cooper amongst others.
But her father, legendary Days of Our Lives actor John Aniston, has revealed that he thinks his daughter and Justin make a 'wonderful couple'.
Speaking about Theroux, 40, who has been dating Jennifer since May, John enthused: ‘He's a charming young man.’

The loved up pair are also said to be looking to splash out on a new lavish pad of their own in LA.
Jennifer revealed what sexy qualities she looks for in a guy apart from a great body.
'Sexiest thing about a man - other than abs - is if he can make me laugh, has compassion, kindness, and an accurately sized ego,' she revealed.
