She is almost never seen without her burly bodyguards, blacked-out SUVs and entourage of hangers-on.

But Rihanna stepped out solo for a late-night coffee run in Santa Monica last night.

The singer, low-key in a casual outfit, arrived by herself in a taxi to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Santa Monica.
The 24-year-old was far from her usual put-together self in a plain black T-shirt, shorts, trainers and a cosy cardigan.


She piled her hair up in a messy bun secured with a bandana and sported the bright yellow talons she had on for a night out earlier in the weekend.
Rihanna happily greeted photographers without her usual team of minders as she pulled up outside the coffee house.

She ordered an iced coffee drink and posed for pictures with a couple of fans while she waited for her order.
On her way back to the taxi Rihanna stopped to buy a painting from a street art seller.

Perhaps the late night coffee hit was in an effort to pack all her belongings in preparation for Rihanna's impending move across the Pond.

The singer has told fans that she is relocating to London for the next couple of months.
She tweeted: 'Moving to London in 2 days!!!!!!' and added 'For a cpl months' (sic).

It is believed that Rihanna will be shooting scenes for her fashioned-based reality series Henry Holland and Nicola Roberts in London.
