RWANDAN President Paul Kagame is today expected to officially launch the 40th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds.
Briefing journalists yesterday, the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr Charles Mwijage, said the Rwandan president has been invited by his Tanzanian counterpart, President John Magufuli.
“The exhibitions this year are unique in their own way as Tanzania embarks for the opening year of the Second Five-Year Development Plan (FYDP II) spanning 2016/17-2020/2021 which focuses on industrialised economy,” the minister explained.
Flanked by the Acting Director General of Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), Mr Edwin Rutageruka, the Minister urged residents in Dar es Salaam and its environs to turn up in large number for the trade fair which has attracted exhibitors from over 30 countries worldwide.
